Question 1

What is Royal Fold & Forge?

Accepted Answer

Royal Fold & Forge is a UK-based artisan brand operated by CROWFEN LTD, specialising in handcrafted Damascus steel culinary tools, kitchen knives, folding tools, and outdoor cutting tools. Every piece is individually crafted to order by skilled artisans.

Question 2

Are your knives and tools genuinely handmade?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every item in our collection is individually handcrafted. No two pieces are identical. Handle materials, steel pattern, and finish may vary slightly, which is a mark of authentic artisan workmanship rather than mass production.

Question 3

How do I place an order?

Accepted Answer

Simply browse our collection, select your desired product, choose any personalisation options, and add to cart. You can then proceed to checkout and pay securely via Stripe (card) or PayPal. You will receive a confirmation email immediately after placing your order.

Question 4

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe, as well as PayPal. All transactions are processed securely with SSL encryption. We do not store your card details.

Question 5

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Orders are handled within 1–3 business days. Transit times:
• UK: 5–7 business days (total 6–10 days)
• USA: 5–7 business days (total 6–10 days)

• Rest of World: 7–14 business days

All parcels are fully insured and sent with tracking.

Question 6

What is your return policy?

Accepted Answer

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in their original, unused condition. A handling and restocking fee of 20–25% applies. If your item arrived damaged or defective, notify us within 48 hours and the fee is completely waived with a prepaid return label provided.

Question 7

Where are your products made?

Accepted Answer

Our products are handcrafted by skilled artisans specialising in traditional Damascus steel forging techniques. Each piece is hand-forged, hand-ground, and hand-finished to exacting standards before being inspected and dispatched from our UK workshop.

Question 8

What type of steel is used in your products?

Accepted Answer

We primarily use high-carbon Damascus steel — a layered forge-welded steel prized for its exceptional sharpness, edge retention, and distinctive wavy pattern. Some products feature stainless Damascus, high-carbon mono steel, or carbon steel blends, as described in each product listing.

Question 9

Can I cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations are accepted within 1 working day of placing your order, before forging work begins. To request a cancellation, please email royalfoldforge@gmail.com or WhatsApp +44 7598 467244 as soon as possible with your order reference.

Question 10

Do I need to pay customs duties or import taxes?

Accepted Answer

For orders shipped to the UK and USA, all import taxes, tariffs, and customs clearance duties are fully pre-paid by us under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms. You will not receive any surprise fees. For EU and Rest of World orders, standard import rules apply at the destination country.
